LinkedIn infographic shows what IT leaders think of 5G
Infographic shows how 5G’s speed, connectivity and low latency will provide new opportunities for AI, automation, and beyond.
In July 2019, LinkedIn conducted research with IT leaders from mid-market companies (500-3500 employees), to gauge their views on 5G technology in the United States. Twenty 45-60 minute qualitative interviews were undertaken with leaders working in IT, and topics covered included challenges of adoption, public awareness, and what the benefits will be.
Qualitative research
“At LinkedIn, we’re focused on the future of work and how technology is proving to have a powerful impact on business,” said a LinkedIn statement. “As part of this exploration, 5G continues to be a key topic for many of our partners, so we recently conducted qualitative research to better understand this evolving space.”
Survey findings revealed that IT leaders must sort through a lot of hype when it comes to 5G, and that an ambiguous roll-out time and compatibility considerations are two of the key issues affecting businesses today.
The infographic below reveals even more insight, and provides a fascinating take on the current state of play when it comes to 5G usage in the US.
