Power comes from a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip, which is the chip of the moment for decent budget 5G phones – we’ve recently seen it in the Honor X20 SE, Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 5G and Realme 8 5G

“Key innovations at an accessible price, including 5G connectivity.”

Samsung.

“From innovative, core features to the high quality Samsung Galaxy is known for, the Galaxy A series represents Samsung’s commitment to providing consumers with powerful phones at every price point. Samsung Galaxy A13 5G continues this legacy by providing key innovations at an accessible price, including 5G connectivity,” Samsung penned, in a press release.

Galaxy A12 update

Indeed, the Samsung Galaxy A13 5G is a follow up to last year's $179 4G Galaxy A12, but with a $70 price hike – however given this model has some of the best specs of all budget 5G phones, we feel the increase is warranted. We can see the new 5G phone being very popular within the US budget 5G phone market and it’s certainly setting a precedent for the way things are headed with maximum technology for minimum consumer outlay.
